Regular Season Round 4: Olomouc - Opava B 80-66

Very important is a road loss of third ranked B&W Opava B (2-2) against fifth ranked Bball Olomouc (3-1) on Friday night. Visiting B&W Opava B was defeated by Bball Olomouc in Olomouc 80-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of B&W Opava B. It was a key game for the second position in Group B. They outrebounded B&W Opava B 46-32 including 18 on the offensive glass. Bball Olomouc looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Jakub Sedlak (209-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Marek Sehnal (195-96) who added 17 points during the contest. Bball Olomouc's coach Michal Pekarek let to play all 12 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side point guard Rostislav Dragoun (192-96) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and center Tomas Micunek (200-89) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Bball Olomouc moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Sokol H.K. Loser B&W Opava B dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Vysocina and Zlin. Bball Olomouc will meet Sokol Slapnice (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. B&W Opava B will play against MMCITE Brno 2 and hope to secure a win.
