Everything could happen in Klaipeda at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Nafta-Uni. and 9th ranked Lietkabelis-2 had identical 1-2 record. This time Nafta-Uni. used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Panevezys 83-76 on Saturday night. Lietkabelis-2 trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 24-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 76-83 at the end of the game. Nafta-Uni. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Rytis Biliartas (200-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Mindaugas Stasys (180-86) who added 21 points during the contest. Four Nafta-Uni. players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Darius Marcinkevicius (201-91) responded with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Gediminas Zalalis (205-95) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Lietkabelis-2's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nafta-Uni. (2-2) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Zalgiris II and Telsiai. Newly promoted Lietkabelis-2 keeps the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Nafta-Uni. will meet Delikatesas (#10) in the next round. Lietkabelis-2 will play against Vytis in Sakiai and hope to win that game.
