Regular Season Round 1: Mykolaiv - Bipa Basket 72-61

Very important is a road loss of Bipa Basket (0-1) against Mykolaiv (1-0) on Saturday night. Visiting Bipa Basket was defeated by Mykolaiv in Mykolaiv 72-61. The game was mostly controlled by Mykolaiv. Bipa Basket managed to win third quarter 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Oleksandr Shostuha (193-84) fired 19 points (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) for the winners. Point guard Vladyslav Tonchenko (185-89) chipped in 7 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Guard Mykyta Naiko (193-92) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and forward Dmytro Khodov (203-87) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Bipa Basket's coach Vadim Pudzyrei rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mykolaiv will meet Khimik in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bipa Basket will play against Zaporozhye and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
