Regular Season Round 2: Hiroshima D. - Chiba Jets 65-77

There was a small surprise in Hiroshima where Chiba Jets (2-2) beat Dragonflies (2-2) 77-65 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Chiba Jets especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds. The other American import power forward Brian Cook (208-80, college: Illinois) chipped in 23 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) produced 21 points and Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba Jets will face Kumamoto V. (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Dragonflies will play against Hokkaido L. (#9) and hope to win that game.
