Regular Season Round 4: PVSK Pannon - ZTE KK 81-62

Date: October 17, 2015
PVSK Pannon's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as they outplayed much higher ranked ZTE KK (2-2) 81-62. The game was mostly controlled by PVSK Pannon. ZTE KK was better in fourth quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. PVSK Pannon players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. ZTE KK was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Serbian guard Marko Popadic (189-89) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Croatian forward Veljko Budimir (199-85) who added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four PVSK Pannon players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Mate Mohacsi (192-90) responded with 8 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard James Kinney (187-90, college: San Jose St.) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. PVSK Pannon (1-3) left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with 4 other teams. ZTE KK at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. PVSK Pannon will play against MAFC (#13) in Budapest in the next round. ZTE KK will play on the road against the league's second-placed Falco KC (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
