Regular Season Round 5: Atomeromu - Szedeak 69-63

Very expected game in Paks where 12th ranked Szedeak (1-4) was defeated by third ranked Atomeromu (4-1) 69-63 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Szedeak won third quarter 17-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Atomeromu won last quarter 18-13. International power forward Janos Eilingsfeld (198-91) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and international power forward Adam Toth (206-89) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Serbian guard Andrija Ciric (198-80) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and the former international swingman Andras Molnar (193-83, agency: Interperformances) scored 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Atomeromu maintains third place with 4-1 record behind leader Kormend. Loser Szedeak dropped to the bottom position with four games lost. Atomeromu will face league's leader Kormend at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Szedeak will play against Marso NYKK (#10) and hope to win that game.
