The game between closely ranked teams ended with top-ranked Polonia Bytom's (4-0) road victory over 3rd ranked AZS PCz (2-2) 79-67 on Saturday. Polonia Bytom looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Pawel Jurczynski (183-91) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and forward Tomasz Gembus (197-87) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side forward Tomasz Nogalski (192-79) responded with 31 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Przemyslaw Laszewski (194-90) scored 6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Polonia Bytom have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group C leader, which they share with AZS AGH Alstom. Loser AZS PCz dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. Polonia Bytom will face AZS AWF M. II (#11) in Katowice in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS PCz will play on the road against MCKiS Jaworz. (#3) in Jaworzno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
