Regular Season Round 5: AEC Collblanc - Miramar 77-86

Everything could happen in L´Hospitalet at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Miramar and 3rd placed AEC Collblanc had identical 2-2 record. But AEC Collblanc was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from 86-77 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in Group C-B. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-77. Center Carlos Poyatos (207-94) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and point guard Francisco Sastre (187-89) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Miramar players scored in double figures. Miramar's coach Pau Tomas used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Lluis Jacas (198-90) responded with 25 points and power forward Javi Rodriguez (202-92) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Miramar have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place in Group C-B, which they share with Castellbisbal and Andorra II. Loser AEC Collblanc dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Miramar will face league's leader L'Hospitalet at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AEC Collblanc will play against Castellbisbal (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
