Regular Season Round 4: MKS DG 2 - AZS PS Gliwice 71-91

Not a big story in a game in Dabrowa Gornicza where bottom-ranked MKS DG 2 (0-4) was rolled over by seventh ranked AZS PS Gliwice (2-1) 91-71 on Saturday. AZS PS Gliwice forced 23 MKS DG 2 turnovers. MKS DG 2 was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Daniel Pelka (193-80) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds and center Piotr Krupa (204-88) who added 13 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four AZS PS Gliwice players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Patryk Wieczorek (188-96) responded with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Patryk Piszczatowski (190-98) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. AZS PS Gliwice moved-up to fourth place in Group C. Loser MKS DG 2 still closes the standings with four games lost. AZS PS Gliwice will face Zaglebie (#7) in Sosnowiec in the next round. MKS DG 2 will play on the road against Wisla Krakow (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
