Everything went according to plan in Firenze where leader Udine APU (4-0) outscored 12th ranked Fiorentina (1-4) 91-56 on Saturday. They outrebounded Fiorentina 37-23 including a 23-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Riccardo Castelli (200-88) stepped up and scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Riccardo Truccolo (190-89) chipped in 15 points. Five Udine APU players scored in double figures. Udine APU's coach Lino Lardo felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
