Regular Season Round 5: Paris-Levallois - Pau-Lacq-Orthez 79-55

Paris-Levallois can celebrate their first win this season after four consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as they outplayed much higher ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (2-3) 79-55. The game without a history. Paris-Levallois led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Paris-Levallois outrebounded Pau-Lacq-Orthez 38-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. The game was dominated by American players. Point guard Chris Jones (178-91, college: Louisville) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Jason Rich (191-86) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Paris-Levallois players scored in double figures. Paris-Levallois (1-4) left bottom position moving up to fifteenth place, which they share with Rouen. Pau-Lacq-Orthez at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Paris-Levallois will play against higher ranked JSF Nanterre (#12) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
