Regular Season Round 9: Hamamatsu P. - Shimane SM 62-64

Date: October 24, 2015
Quite upsetting was Hamamatsu Phoenix's (#4) home defeat in a game versus seventh ranked Shimane Magic who edged hosts 64-62. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hamamatsu Phoenix. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests trailed by 13 points after three quarters before their 26-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds and guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia, agency: Haylett Sports) added 15 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Shimane Magic (5-2) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Hamamatsu Phoenix keeps the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Shimane Magic will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hamamatsu Phoenix will play again against Shimane Magic (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
