Date: October 24, 2015
Everything went according to plan when leader Niigata Albirex (6-0) outscored at home 7th ranked Gunma (3-4) 92-53 on Saturday. The game without a history. Niigata Albirex led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Gunma's players. American guard Charles Hinkle (196-88, college: American) stepped up and scored 29 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Senegalese center Pape Faye (200-87) chipped in 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Niigata Albirex players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Mike St.John (203-84, college: La Salle, agency: Global Sports Plaza) with 6 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Niigata Albirex. They maintain second place with 6-0 record behind leader Shiga L-Stars. Gunma lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with four games lost. Niigata Albirex will face again Gunma (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
