Regular Season Round 7: Nysa Klodzko - Znicz Basket 71-79

Everything went according to plan in Kloszko where second ranked Znicz Basket (6-1) beat 16th ranked Nysa Klodzko (2-5) 79-71 on Wednesday. Znicz Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Nysa Klodzko's 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a great evening for center Dawid Slupinski (206-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Damian Janiak (195-89) helped adding 11 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Znicz Basket's coach Marek Zapalowski used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side point guard Michal Lipinski (185-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 assists and swingman Tomasz Stepien (192-86) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Znicz Basket and four Nysa Klodzko players scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Znicz Basket. They maintain second place with 6-1 record behind leader Krosno. Newly promoted Nysa Klodzko dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. Znicz Basket will face Slask 2 Wroclaw (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Nysa Klodzko will play against Rosa II Radom and hope to win that game.
