The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked EWE Baskets' (4-2) home victory over 9th ranked Braunschweig (2-4) in Oldenburg 71-64. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. EWE Baskets made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was guard Chris Kramer (191-88, college: Purdue) who scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Braunschweig's coach Raoul Korner rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. EWE Baskets moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Fraport SKY. Braunschweig at the other side keeps the ninth position with four games lost. EWE Baskets' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (#18) in Weissenfels which should be an easy win for them. Braunschweig will play at home against Crailsheim Merlins (#14) and hope to win that game.
