SBL top team - Prievidza (7-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Nitra (1-7) 101-54. The game without a history. Prievidza led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Nitra to just 7 points in third quarter. Prievidza dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Nitra's 32. Prievidza forced 28 Nitra turnovers and outrebounded them 42-19 including a 29-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. American-Iranian forward Mike Rostampour (203-91, college: Omaha, agency: N.E.T.) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and Serbian guard Milan Stanojevic (183-86, college: E.Washington, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 14 points and 4 assists. Four Prievidza players scored in double figures. Serbian forward Filip Pejovic (198-89, college: Erskine) came up with 6 points and Serbian guard Filip Simic (185-90, agency: Beo Basket) added 9 points respectively for Nitra in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prievidza have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-1 record. Nitra at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Prievidza will play against league's second-placed Rieker KN in Komarno in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nitra will play at home against Levice (#4) to get more than just one victory in their record.
