Regular Season Round 6: SISU - Randers 90-93

Important game to mention about took place in Copenhagen. Fifth ranked Randers (2-5) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging bottom-ranked SISU (0-7) 93-90 on Sunday evening. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. The former international swingman Chris Nielsen (192-85) notched 32 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and American power forward Bonell Colas (205-82, college: Florida) supported him with 20 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Randers' coach Morten Hansen allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) by point guard August Haas (180-97) did not help to save the game for SISU. American guard Devin Cherry (190-92, college: Cornell) added 24 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Randers maintains fifth position with 2-5 record, which they share with Stevnsgade. SISU at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Randers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. SISU will play on the road against Horsholm (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
