Regular Season Round 12: Takamatsu FA - Bambitious Nara 79-99

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Takamatsu FA (4-6) was crushed at home by tenth ranked Bambitious Nara (3-7) 99-79 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 99-79. Bambitious Nara looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Josh Ritchart (206, college: Cal-Davis) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and Higuchi Mato who added 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Bambitious Nara's coach Eto Kohei used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St.) with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Nino Johnson (206-93, college: SE Missouri St.) scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Takamatsu FA players scored in double figures. Bambitious Nara maintains tenth position with 3-7 record. Takamatsu FA lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. Bambitious Nara will face higher ranked Kyoto Hannar. (#5) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
