Hasharon has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Hapoel Kazrin (0-4) 79-62. The winners were led by American forward Billy McShepard (208-87, college: Valdosta St., agency: Blacktop Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import forward Jamell Cornley (196-87, college: Penn St.) supported him with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Even 17 points by U.S. Virgin Islands forward Aaron Brown (196-92, college: Boston Coll.) did not help to save the game for Hapoel Kazrin. Naturalized American forward Jimmy McDonnell (208-92, college: Temple) added 5 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hasharon (1-3) left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Hapoel Kazrin at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Hasharon will play against higher ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hapoel Kazrin will play against Hapoel Migd.H. (#13) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
