Regular Season Round 2: Bauru - Macae 88-64

An interesting game took place in Bauru where Macae (0-2) was upset on the court of Paschoalotto/Bauru (2-0) 88-64 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Paschoalotto/Bauru. Macae managed to win third quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Paschoalotto/Bauru dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Macae's 26. They outrebounded Macae 34-22 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Paschoalotto/Bauru looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Rafael Hettsheimer (206-86) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. International guard Alex Garcia (191-80, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 15 points. Five Paschoalotto/Bauru players scored in double figures. Paschoalotto/Bauru's coach Demetrius Ferraciu felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Caleb Brown (183-89, college: Austin Peay St.) produced 22 points and 4 assists and Eddy Carvalho (196-87) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Paschoalotto/Bauru will meet Brasilia on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Macae will play against Rio Claro (#15) and hope to win that game.
