Regular Season Round 10: Haneda Vickies - Chanson V-M 64-100

Bottom-ranked Haneda Vickies (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 100-64 loss to fifth ranked Chanson V-M (7-1) in Tokyo on Sunday evening. The game without a history. Chanson V-M led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Haneda Vickies' 44. They outrebounded Haneda Vickies 45-31 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Chanson V-M looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Haneda Vickies' players. Guard Minaho Minamiminoru (167-93) had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) chipped in 20 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Chanson V-M players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard LiQuan Luohe (165-91) responded with 24 points and 5 steals and point guard Rina Sezaki (162-92) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Haneda Vickies' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Chanson V-M have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Fujitsu RW. Loser Haneda Vickies still closes the standings with ten games lost. They share the position with Niigata R.. Chanson V-M will meet Hitachi Cougars (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Haneda Vickies will play against Fujitsu RW and look forward to get finally their first victory.
