Regular Season Round 7: Lighthouse TR - Casalpusterlengo 99-74

Date: November 12, 2015
Everything could happen in Trapani at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Lighthouse TR and 9th ranked Casalpusterlengo had identical 3-3 record. This time Lighthouse TR used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Casalpusterlengo 99-74 on Thursday night. The game was mostly controlled by Lighthouse TR. Casalpusterlengo was better in third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lighthouse TR made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Andrea Renzi (208-89, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Gabriele Ganeto (200-87) helped adding 9 points and 14 rebounds. Lighthouse TR's coach Vincenzo Ugo Ducarello felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and Maltese-American Darryl Jackson (190-85, college: Warner Pacific, agency: Interperformances) scored 21 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lighthouse TR (4-3) moved-up to ninth place in A2. Loser Casalpusterlengo dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Lighthouse TR will face Viola RC (#12) in Reggio Calabria in the next round. Casalpusterlengo will play at home against Omegna and hope to win that game.
