Regular Season Round 8: Stevnsgade - SISU 70-84
Date: November 13, 2015
Bottom-ranked SISU managed to get the second consecutive victory on Friday night. This time they won against sixth-ranked Stevnsgade 84-70. And what about a second win in a row after ...seven consecutive loses. The game was mostly controlled by SISU. Stevnsgade managed to win fourth quarter 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Stevnsgade 47-34 including 33 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by international forward Frederik Rungby (199-93) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and international center Asger Hjorth (208-94, college: Lander) supported him with 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Even 20 points and 5 assists by the former international point guard Mikael Nielsen (178-90) did not help to save the game for Stevnsgade. Guard Jonel Visaq (195-88) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Four Stevnsgade players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. SISU (2-7) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Stevnsgade and Randers. SISU will meet at home league's second-placed Bakken in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Stevnsgade will play against the league's second-placed Bakken (#2) and hope to secure a win.
