Important game to mention about took place in Kyoto. Fourth ranked Kyoto Hannar. (8-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 3rd placed Osaka Evessa (9-5) 73-70 on Friday evening. The hosts were ahead by 4 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 18-14 run, which allowed them to win the game. His fellow American import forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) accounted for 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Kyoto Hannar.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Lawrence Blackledge (206-86, college: Marquette) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and Nigerian-Canadian Olu Ashaolu (200-88, college: Oregon) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Osaka Evessa in the defeat. Four Osaka Evessa players scored in double figures. Kyoto Hannar. maintains fourth place with 8-3 record. Osaka Evessa at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
