Very important is a road loss of third ranked Osaka Evessa (9-5) against fourth ranked Kyoto Hannar. (8-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Osaka Evessa was crushed by Kyoto Hannar. in Kyoto 77-58. The game without a history. Kyoto Hannar. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Osaka Evessa's 30. Kyoto Hannar.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian-Canadian Olu Ashaolu (200-88, college: Oregon) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Lawrence Blackledge (206-86, college: Marquette) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kyoto Hannar. maintains fourth place with 8-3 record. Loser Osaka Evessa keeps the third position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
