Regular Season Round 12: Perlas-MRU - Delikatesas 88-60

Everything could happen in Vilnius at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Perlas-MRU and 9th ranked Delikatesas had identical 5-6 record. This time Perlas-MRU used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Joniskis 88-60. The game without a history. Perlas-MRU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Perlas-MRU outrebounded Delikatesas 38-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for guard Aistis Pilauskas (190-98) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 7 assists. Swingman Tautvydas Pipiras (198-93) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Perlas-MRU players scored in double figures. Perlas-MRU's coach Arvydas Gronskis felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Rokas Cepanonis (207-89) replied with 16 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Zilvinas Petraitis (194-88) added 15 points in the effort for Delikatesas. Perlas-MRU have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Telsiai. Delikatesas at the other side keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. Perlas-MRU's next round opponent will be league's leader Suduva-Mantinga in Marijampole and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Delikatesas will play at home against Ezerunas-Karys (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
