Regular Season Round 7: Adanaspor - Balikesir 80-88

Very expected game when 15th ranked Adanaspor (1-6) lost at home to eighth ranked Balikesir (4-3) 88-80 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-21. But Adanaspor won second period 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Balikesir looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Quite impressive performance for swingman Ogun Sevinc (198-88) who helped to win the game recording 27 points. American forward Mike Davis (205-88, college: Illinois) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Terrell Stoglin (185-91, college: Maryland) answered with 32 points and point guard Burak Sasmaz (183-91) added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Adanaspor. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Balikesir moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Denizli and Socar Petkim. Adanaspor lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with six games lost. Balikesir will face Denizli (#9) at home in the next round. Adanaspor will play against Final Genclik (#17) in Bursa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
