A very close game took place in Elchingen between Titans and Elchingen. Eighth ranked Titans (4-4) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Elchingen (5-3). Titans managed to escape with a 2-point win 81-79 on Saturday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Walter Simon (202-89, college: Cumberland) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds and center Max von der Wippel (207-94) who added 15 points during the contest. Forward Brian Butler (194-91, agency: Mansfield and Associates) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Lorne Jackson (188-90, college: Pepperdine) scored 20 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Titans moved-up to fifth place in South, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Elchingen keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Leipzig. Titans will meet at home Weissenhorn Youngstars (#5) in the next round. Elchingen will play against USC Leipzig and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
