National League top team - Hapoel Afula (6-0) added another victory to their record on Tuesday. This time they beat sixth ranked Hap.R/G Givat. (2-4) in Givataim 92-87. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hap.R/G Givat.. Hapoel Afula dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Hap.R/G Givat.'s 42. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American Brandon Brown (199-85, college: CS San Bernar.) notched a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Puerto Rican forward Gilberto Clavell (200-89, college: Sam Houston St., agency: Inception Sports) supported him with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 25 points by American guard Roburt Sallie (196-86, college: Memphis, agency: Blacktop Management) did not help to save the game for Hap.R/G Givat.. American-Nigerian forward Mark Nwakamma (198-93, college: Hartford) added 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five Hapoel Afula and four Hap.R/G Givat. players scored in double figures. Hapoel Afula have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Newly promoted Hap.R/G Givat. dropped to the eighth place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Hapoel Afula will meet at home Hapoel Migd.H. (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
