Regular Season Round 7: Kolossos - Lavrio 61-72

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Rodou where 7th ranked Kolossos (3-4) was defeated by eighth ranked Lavrio (3-4) 72-61 on Saturday. Kolossos was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 24-11 charge of Lavrio, which allowed them to win the game. American-Gambian forward Ousman Krubally (201-88, college: Georgia St., agency: CGL Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Zamal Nixon (186-89, college: Houston, agency: Two Points) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Giannoulis Larentzakis (195-93, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Will Davis II (203-92, college: Cal-Irvine) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Lavrio moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Kolossos. Lavrio is looking forward to face league's second-placed Panathinaikos in Athens in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kolossos will play on the road against Aiolos Trikallon (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
