Regular Season Round 9: JAC Sants - Barbera 60-83

There was an upset in Barcelona where 3rd placed JAC Sants (5-4) was crushed by eighth ranked Barbera (4-5) 83-60 on Sunday. The game without a history. Barbera led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was Jose Bernuz (198-81) who scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Sergio Clemente (202-91) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Aitor Perez (202-88) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Marc Pages (178-95) added 15 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Barbera moved-up to sixth place in Group C-A, which they share with Sant Nicolau and Masnou. Loser JAC Sants keeps the third position with four games lost. Barbera will face Arenys (#9) in Arenys del Mar in the next round. JAC Sants will play at home against Sant Nicolau (#8) and hope to win that game.
