Regular Season Round 12: Correcaminos - Soles 81-94

LNBP top team - Soles (11-1) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Correcaminos (4-6) in Ciudad Victoria 94-81. They outrebounded Correcaminos 42-24 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for international Roman Martinez (201-88, college: N.Mexico) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 5 rebounds. Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Soles' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Brandon Davis (198-88, college: Lamar, agency: Interperformances) replied with 22 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Marquis Ayala (178) added 16 points in the effort for Correcaminos. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Soles have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Correcaminos lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Jefes. Soles are looking forward to face league's second-placed Fuerza Regia in Monterrey in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Correcaminos will play on the road against Panteras (#11) in Aguascalientes and are hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
