No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Shiga L-Stars (9-5) outleveled on the road 11th ranked Oita Heat Devils (2-11) 102-67 on Sunday. The game without a history. Shiga L-Stars led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Oita Heat Devils' 44 and made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game, while Oita Heat Devils only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded Oita Heat Devils 54-25 including a 37-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH) had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Patrick Simon (203-92, college: Seattle Pacific) with 20 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
