Rather expected game when 13th ranked Auxilium TO (2-6) was edged by tenth ranked Betaland CdO (5-4) in Torino 71-69 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Auxilium TO won third quarter 15-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lithuanian Simas Jasaitis (202-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points. American power forward Alex Oriakhi (208-90, college: Connecticut) contributed with 15 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international forward Stefano Mancinelli (204-83) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the former international point guard Jacopo Giachetti (190-83) added 14 points in the effort for Auxilium TO. Four Auxilium TO players scored in double figures. Betaland CdO moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Auxilium TO dropped to the fourteenth position with six games lost. Betaland CdO will face higher ranked Banco di Srd (#6) in Sassari in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Auxilium TO will play on the road against Dolomiti En. TR (#5) in Trento and hope to win that game.
