The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Hokkaido L.'s (6-9) road loss to fifth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (9-4) 70-89 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Hitachi Sunrockers. Hokkaido L. was better in fourth quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Four Hitachi Sunrockers players scored in double figures. American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds and guard Asahi Tajima (173-88) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hitachi Sunrockers have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 9-4 record. Hokkaido L. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost. Hitachi Sunrockers will face bottom-ranked Nishinomiya S. (#12) in Hyogo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hokkaido L. will play on the road against the league's second-placed Tochigi Brex (#2) and hope to win that game.
