Very predictable result when third ranked Shimane Magic (12-6) outscored at home 9th ranked Takamatsu FA (5-11) 106-54 on Sunday. The game without a history. Shimane Magic led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Takamatsu FA's 34. They outrebounded Takamatsu FA 50-33 including a 40-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Josh Davis (203-91, college: San Diego St.) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The other American import forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) chipped in a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Shimane Magic's coach Michael Katsuhisa felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Jarvis Williams (198-89, college: Minn.St.-Mankato, agency: Interperformances) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Hiroyuki Kikuchi (192-83) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Shimane Magic have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-6 record having just three points less than leader Sendai 89ers. Takamatsu FA lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 11 games lost. Shimane Magic will face Saitama Broncos (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Takamatsu FA will play against Aomori Watts and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
