No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Chiba Jets (6-7) smashed at home bottom-ranked Nishinomiya S. (2-13) 99-69 on Sunday. The game without a history. Chiba Jets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Nishinomiya S.'s 48. It was a great shooting night for Chiba Jets especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. The best player for the winners was American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import power forward Clint Chapman (208-89, college: Texas) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. American Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and forward Shinnosuke Negoro (195-87) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba Jets have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Nishinomiya S. lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. Chiba Jets will face Tsukuba R. (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Nishinomiya S. will play against Hitachi Sunrockers and hope to win that game.
