The game in Raanana was also quite interesting. Second ranked Hapoel B/S (7-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Maccabi Raanana (4-4). Hapoel B/S managed to secure a 5-point victory 82-77 on Tuesday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Maccabi Raanana. They outrebounded Maccabi Raanana 39-26 including a 32-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hapoel B/S looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Keith Clanton (205-90, college: Cent.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) who added 22 points during the contest. Four Hapoel B/S players scored in double figures. Guard Rian Pearson (193-90, college: Toledo) responded with 31 points and 9 rebounds and forward Samme Givens (198-89, college: Drexel) scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Hapoel B/S have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Hapoel G/A. Loser Maccabi Raanana dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. Hapoel B/S will meet at home Ironi Ashkelon (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Maccabi Raanana will play against Ironi Ramat Gan (#11) and hope to secure a win.
