Regular Season Round 12: Lourdes - Angers BC 85-71
Date: December 1, 2015
Very expected game when 7th ranked Angers BC (6-5) lost on the road to third ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (8-3) 85-71 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Lourdes-Tarbes. Angers BC managed to win third quarter 16-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lourdes-Tarbes shot 23 for 37 from the free-throw line, while Angers BC only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded Angers BC 42-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by Jamaican forward Ricardo Alliman (201-87, college: Cedarville) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and the former international point guard Xane Dalmeida (181-83) supported him with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Alliman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds by American forward Cedrick Williams (206-92, college: NC-Wilmington) did not help to save the game for Angers BC. Swingman Thibaut Lonzieme (195-89, agency: Octagon Europe) added 19 points and 5 rebounds. Lourdes-Tarbes maintains third position with 8-3 record behind leader Blois. Loser Angers BC keeps the seventh place with five games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Lourdes-Tarbes will meet Vitre (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Angers BC will play against the league's second-placed Rueil (#2) and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the ProB just one year after relegation.
