Bottom-ranked Nova Ves (0-16) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 16th consecutive match to fourth ranked Rieker KN (11-2) 111-51. The game without a history. Rieker KN led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Nova Ves to just 7 points in third quarter. Rieker KN dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Nova Ves' 30. Rieker KN forced 26 Nova Ves turnovers. Nova Ves were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Ondrej Haviar (194-85) notched 24 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Slovenian forward Sinisa Bilic (201-89) supported him with 17 points. Five Rieker KN players scored in double figures. Even 8 points and 11 rebounds by center Michal Dolnik (203-95) did not help to save the game for Nova Ves. Swingman Vladimir Hovanak (193-82) added 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rieker KN have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Nova Ves at the other side still closes the standings. Rieker KN will play against league's leader Prievidza on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nova Ves will play against Slavia Kosice (#3) and hope to get finally their first victory.
