Regular Season Round 10: Hapoel T-A - Hapoel Holon 78-63

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when ninth ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (4-6) won against at home 8th ranked Hapoel Holon (3-6) 78-63 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel Tel-Aviv. Hapoel Holon was better in fourth quarter 31-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hapoel Tel-Aviv made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while Hapoel Holon only scored three points from the stripe. They outrebounded Hapoel Holon 45-31 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hapoel Holon was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. John Williamson (200-86, college: Cincinnati, agency: Inception Sports) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Talor Battle (182-88, college: Penn St., agency: Two Points) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Hapoel Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's coach Oded Katash used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Will Clyburn (201-90, college: Iowa St.) responded with 28 points and 6 rebounds and forward Mike Moser (203-90, college: Oregon, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Hapoel Tel-Aviv moved-up to eighth place. Hapoel Holon at the other side dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tel-Aviv Maccabi T-A.
