Hap.Petah Tikva's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Rishon Le-Zion, where they defeated Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (2-4) 84-80. Hap.Petah Tikva made 25-of-29 charity shots (86.2 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Hap.Petah Tikva especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. Brittany Brink (-93) scored 27 points to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Jillian Robbins (190-84, college: Tulsa, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American Ashley Shields (180-85, college: SW Tenn.St.CC) with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and her fellow American import forward Karisma Penn (188-91, college: Illinois) scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hap.Petah Tikva (1-5) left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Elitzur Holon. It was Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion's third loss in a row. They keep the sixth position with four games lost. Hap.Petah Tikva will play against higher ranked Ramat Hasharon (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion will play against the league's second-placed Bnot Hertzeliya where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
