Regular Season Round 11: Groningen - Den Bosch 63-71

Another interesting game for Den Bosch (6-4) which played on the court of Groningen (5-5). Third ranked Den Bosch won 71-63. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Groningen won third quarter 24-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Den Bosch won last quarter 21-14. Groningen was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for the former international forward Stefan Wessels (203-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Serbian-Canadian forward Dejan Kravic (211-90, college: Texas Tech) helped adding 11 points and 11 rebounds. Den Bosch's coach Samuel Jones allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. International guard Yannick Franke (194-96) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian power forward Ross Bekkering (203-87) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Defending champion maintains third place with 6-4 record having four points less than leader Zwolle. Groningen at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Den Bosch will play against league's second-placed Leiden at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Groningen will play against Weert and hopes to get back on the winning track.
