Regular Season Round 12: Jamtland - Malbas 76-59

We should mention about the upset which took place in Jamtland, where higher ranked Malbas (6-7) lost to ninth ranked KFUM Jamtland (5-8) in a road game 59-76 on Friday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Malbas. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-59. Strangely Malbas outrebounded KFUM Jamtland 43-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Hungarian forward Zsolt Szabo (202-86) who scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. American point guard Corin Henry (180-88, college: Tarleton St., agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was international center Carl Engstrom (216-91, college: Alabama) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and Serbian-Canadian forward Aleksandar Danilovic (202-93) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. KFUM Jamtland maintains ninth position with 5-8 record. Newly promoted Malbas dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. KFUM Jamtland will face higher ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (#3) in Norrkoping in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
