LKL round 15 most important game was a victory of Neptunas over 7th ranked Nevezis 81-56 on Friday night. The game without a history. Neptunas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game, while Nevezis only scored five points from the stripe. It was a good game for international guard Mindaugas Girdziunas (188-89) who led his team to a victory with 13 points and 6 assists. American power forward Jerai Grant (203-89, college: Clemson) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Neptunas players scored in double figures. American forward Taylor King (203-88, college: Concordia Irvine, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 18 points and center Mindaugas Kupsas (217-91, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Nevezis. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Neptunas maintains sixth place with 6-7 record. Nevezis at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Neptunas are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Dzukija (#10) in Alytus in the next round. Nevezis will play on the road against P.Zvaigzdes in Pasvalys and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
