Regular Season Round 20: CD Puerto Varas - Puente Alto 103-60

The game with biggest result difference took place in Puerto Varas. Local CD Puerto Varas (9-11) outscored 12th ranked Puente Alto (7-12) 103-60 on Sunday night. The game without a history. CD Puerto Varas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Puente Alto's 20. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Jay Hook (193-93, college: Tulane) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and the former international power forward Renato Vera (199-87) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four CD Puerto Varas players scored in double figures. Forward Sebastian Riquelme (188-95) responded with 17 points and American-Nigerian forward Andrew Osemhen (206-92, college: Kennesaw St.) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CD Puerto Varas moved-up to sixth place, which they share with CDE Talca and AB Ancud. Loser Puente Alto stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. CD Puerto Varas will meet higher ranked Los Leones (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Puente Alto will play against the league's second-placed Las Animas (#2) and hope to secure a win.
