No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Novipiu Casale (8-5) smashed at home 15th ranked La Briosa BRC (3-9) 95-50 on Sunday. The game without a history. Novipiu Casale led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding La Briosa BRC to just 7 points in first quarter. Novipiu Casale dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to La Briosa BRC's 26. They outrebounded La Briosa BRC 35-11 including a 22-5 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Brett Blizzard (191-80, college: NC-Wilmington) who scored 17 points and 5 assists. Naturalized Senegalese forward Abdel Fall (202-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Five Novipiu Casale players scored in double figures. Novipiu Casale's coach Marco Ramondino felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Lenzelle Smith Jr. (193-88, college: Ohio St.) who recorded 19 points and his fellow American import power forward David Loubeau (203-89, college: Texas A&M) added 7 points respectively. Novipiu Casale maintains fourth position in A2 with 8-5 record. Loser La Briosa BRC dropped to the sixteenth place with nine games lost. Novipiu Casale will face league's second-placed Agropoli on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. La Briosa BRC will play against the league's leader Scafati (#1) and hope to win that game.
