The game in Petah Tikva supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Maccabi Ashdod (5-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Hap.Petah Tikva (1-7). Maccabi Ashdod forced 24 Hap.Petah Tikva turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Tia Presley (178, college: Washington St., agency: LBM Management) who added 15 points during the contest. American center Stephanie Madden (186-88, college: Langston) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and Brittany Brink (-93) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Ramat Hasharon. Loser Hap.Petah Tikva stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. They share it with Elitzur Holon. Maccabi Ashdod will meet at home league's second-placed Bnot Hertzeliya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hap.Petah Tikva will play against ASA Jerusalem (#5) and hope to win that game.
