Regular Season Round 21: Petrochema - Lietkabelis-2 74-60

Everything went according to plan in Jonava where seventh ranked Petrochema (11-10) beat bottom-ranked Lietkabelis-2 (2-18) 74-60. The game was mostly controlled by Petrochema. Lietkabelis-2 was better in third quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Petrochema forced 24 Lietkabelis-2 turnovers. Point guard Tadas Sebeziovas (185-85) nailed 21 points and 5 assists for the winning side and forward Henrikas Vorotnikovas (203-90) accounted for 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Petrochema players scored in double figures. Petrochema's coach Kestutis Narusevicius allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Simonas Slivka (195-86) came up with 12 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Gediminas Zalalis (205-95) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Lietkabelis-2 in the defeat. Petrochema moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Zalgiris II. Lietkabelis-2 lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 18 lost games. Petrochema will play against league's second-placed Mazeikiai on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lietkabelis-2 will play against Telsiai (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
