There was an upset in Villaviciosa where higher ranked Azuqueca (6-3) was edged by thirteenth ranked Casvi (3-6) 76-74 on Saturday. Casvi forced 27 Azuqueca turnovers. Azuqueca was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Hector Jimenez (183-94) who scored 26 points. Forward Jorge Sanchez (198-94) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. Casvi's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian-American center Olajide Keshinro (203-90, college: Mercy, agency: Duran International) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Faronte Drakeford (201, college: Cent.Conn.St.) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Loser Azuqueca dropped to the third position with three games lost. Casvi will face Gran Canaria (#13) on the road in the next round. Azuqueca will play against Torrelodones (#7) and hope to win that game.
